I graduated as a mathematician, originally interested in algebraic geometric and now working in Machine Learning / AI. I started doing machine learning in 2013 by entering Kaggle competitions (see my old Kaggle profile as well as one of my writeups). From 2015 until 2021 I worked at DeepMind where I’ve led high impact projects published in Nature, Nature Medicine and other top journals. Several of the projects I’ve worked on use AI to try to improve healthcare (e.g., detecting breast cancer and eye disease progression), some others are in representation learning (e.g., CPC v2) and reinforcement learning.
